Nana's Kitchen
Nana’s Kitchen began as a small restaurant producing delicious family style and ethnic meals in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Co-Founders Nasim and Shelina started with a restaurant that became well known for their great food, lots of laughter and for providing job opportunities as cooks and servers to new Canadian women.
By 2000, the take-away orders for their popular pastry items were surpassing the restaurant’s capacity. From this demand, Nana’s Kitchen production facility was born. In 2019 Shelina took over Nana’s Kitchen after her sister made the decision to retire.
Fueled by a strong vision to produce the highest quality product, Nanas Kitchen opened their state-of-the-art production facility. As a CFIA inspected facility, Nana’s Kitchen is proud of their HACCP certification and British Retailer Consortium’s (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety.
Several of the original restaurant staff have grown to become managers at Nana’s Kitchen production facility. The legacy of providing a place for women to work remains very important to the company. Nana’s Kitchen continues to be a place where daily laughter and great food are an everyday occurrence.
